This site features a portion of the work I've done throughout my life. I would love to invite you to bring my art into your own homes and hearts, and experience the joy of passing on the peace and love that I personally feel when creating each and every one of my works.
Inspired by the Masters, the Renaissance, Impressionism, and Realism, I attempt to capture the essence of a quality deep within me on these works of art. My goal is to try to express the compassion and sensitivity expressed in the eyes of my subjects. I truly believe that the eyes are the windows to the soul, and I hope you are able to catch a glimpse of this in my portraits, angels, Santas, and Still Life works. If you can feel this truth, it is my wish that you might want to add a reflection of this to your collection.
My clients and commissions have continued to emerge over a forty year career. Additionally, I have donated numerous works of art to places such as Hospice, Children's Hospitals, Cancer Units, friends, and family. Most recently, I donated two paintings to the Norma F. Pfriem Breast Cancer Care Center in Fairfield, CT ( http://www2.bridgeporthospital.org/cancer/breast/default.aspx ), due to my strong desire to help to eradicate this illness once and for all. Also, my Humanitarian Exhibit has been featured in ten facilities, and I will have prints of the people that have influenced me the most from this Exhibit available on this site soon. I also teach both children and adults six days a week in my art studio that I have spent years creating (Legacies By Addie, Inc.). Photographs of my studio are also available for sale on this site as well.
Please feel free to follow me on my Twitter page~ http://twitter.com/#!/LegaciesByAddie
I will be posting new works and would love to engage with fellow artists and new friends...
